Maalik is a South East London actor with Palestinian and Pakistani heritage, raised in Lewisham. He is a native Arabic speaker with a high professional standard in the language.
After graduating from a screen-focused foundation course with Mixing Networks, he continues to refine his craft weekly with the London Meisner Company. His screen credits include a number of short films, and he is particularly proud of my work with Medical Aid for Palestinians.
His background is anything but conventional. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, which feeds his love for design and problem-solving. He was also an amateur boxer for many years before injuries cut his competitive career short but he still trains regularly and stays connected to the boxing community through friends who compete.
When he’s not on set or in the rehearsal room, you’ll find him in museums and galleries, baking for his family, pushing heavy weights in the gym, or losing himself in art and design history.
He approaches every role with hunger, discipline, and a deep curiosity for the human experience. He is ready to dive headfirst into my next creative challenge.
